What is The KISA Blacklist?

The KISA RBL Blacklist is a free service provided by the Korea Internet and Security Agency that blocks spam in real-time.  This blacklist is updated every single hour in order to provide accurate, up-to-date information for all users.  The KISA RBL Blacklist was created to help prevent the unsolicited emails that flood users' emails in attempts to gain personal information.  There are three grades of the KISA Blacklist depending on the severity of the spam case.  According to the KISA Blacklist, Spam is defined as unsolicited advertisement mail that is sent to a large number of people.  

How Do I Find Out If I Am On The KISA Blacklist?

The KISA Blacklist identifies spam and illegal spam on the internet and adds those IP Addresses to their lengthy list.  You can check here if you think you have land on the KISA Blacklist

How Can I Remove Myself From The KISA Blacklist?

Follow this link to remove yourself from the KISA Blacklist.  You will need to fill out a form with the following information:

  1. IP Address
  2. Name
  3. Company
  4. Email Address
  5. Domain Name
  6. Telephone Number    

Please note, IP Addresses need to be entered one at a time.  You cannot leave any section of the form above blank.  

How do I reduce my risk of getting onto the KISA Blacklist?

The best way to avoid getting listed on a blacklist is to engage in proper email practices such as...

  • Verify all email addresses before attempting outreach
  • Avoid sending unnecessary emails
  • Avoid the use of spam words within your email drafts
  • Keep your sending volume to a minimum (30-50 a day if your inbox has been warmed up with us for at least 30 days)
